I have read and listened to lots of books, but Theodora, sister girl, that narrator got the Jamaican accent downnnnnn! I'm Jamaican and hate listening to authors try to speak "Jamaican." When a person speaks patois 'patwa' in these stories, I cringe 😬 but Elle Cleviden sounds like she knows our dialect. Living in the US for over 30 years, I still haven't lost my accent. I read "Holt" years ago but decided to listen to the audio book while driving to work, and it was a treat. Even though Silvie was a weak Jamaican character, the book was entertaining. Keep doing your ting

This was a good story but the narrator get to me. As a Jamaican the accent was not doing it for me. She sound like a damn Trinidadian. I couldn't listen no more. The kid cussing to the father would get a baxx from him fatha or any Jamaican parent. I ended up looking for the book on kindle to read it myself.
