In challenging times, why do so many of us turn to Pema Chödrön for guidance? Many say that it’s her honest and caring way of communicating the core teachings of Buddhism - not just conceptually, but directly from her heart to ours. In these inspiring sessions, she teaches us how to give that compassion to the person we neglect most often - ourselves.

Story
The Bhagavad Gita is a gem so precious in India's spiritual treasury that many regard it not as a volume of sacred verse, but as a living manifestation of the Divine. In the summer of 1974, inside a balmy Boulder, Colorado, warehouse that served as a main hall of a fledgling Naropa Institute, some say a minor miracle occured: The reawakening of the Gita's living presence, as it unfolded in a series of wisdom teachings led by Ram Dass.

Very deep and specific. Probably read the book info before buying to make sure it is what you want. Precursor to many of the new gurus. I thought it was well done. Even though the sound quality was marginal at times.

Connelly has mastered making a book unique. characters are great, plot is the focus and always changing. Part of the story was predictable but not every twist. Connelly is consistently good and coupled with great narration. Solid 5 star book. Well worth the credit.

Story
Seth Hubbard is a wealthy man dying of lung cancer. He trusts no one. Before he hangs himself from a sycamore tree, Hubbard leaves a new, handwritten, will. It is an act that drags his adult children, his Black maid, and Jake into a conflict as riveting and dramatic as the murder trial that made Brigance one of Ford County's most notorious citizens, just three years earlier. The second will raises far more questions than it answers. Why would Hubbard leave nearly all of his fortune to his maid? Had chemotherapy and painkillers affected his ability to think clearly?

Ouch. Nails on chalkboard.

So much filler coupled with a slow talking narrator. Toss in predictability within the plot and you get a solid two star. Grisham is off my future list of books. Why not focus on the plot instead minor side plots. Almost stopped the book before the end. In hindsight, maybe I should of.

Stephen King is not my favorite author but when asked to listen to this book I went for it. What a great decision. This book is awesome. Not like the King books I have listened to in the past. The narration is amazing as well. Who ever produced this book should also get praise. Can not say enough for this book. Can't wait for more. King can really write.

Hollis Henry worked for the global marketing magnate Hubertus Bigend once before. She never meant to repeat the experience. Milgrim is even more thoroughly owned by Bigend. He's worth owning for his useful gift of seeming to disappear in almost any setting. baked into bone, entirely experimental, to show for it. Garreth has a passion for extreme sports. Garreth isn't owned by Bigend at all.

William Gibson has now floated into my top five authors in audiobooks. Amazing ability to spin a tale, develop characters, make a scene come to life and all with an interesting plot that keeps you coming back for more. Though this book is probably the weakest of the trilogy, it still is a solid 5 star, Only wish I could get my hands on all of Gibson's books on audio. Word of advice, start with book one of this trilogy. I used Wikipedia for gibson to tell me the order of books of the trilogy.

This book by any other writer could have been too unrealistic and a two star. Gibson though is extremely good at spinning a tale. Not for everyone but 5 star plus for me. Sort of a Murakami look alike but morphed into an American Techie writer. Highly recommend. I think at this point any Gibson book will be 5 star. Just love great writers. Hard to find. Enjoy.
