Story
1903. Sherlock Holmes and Dr John Watson have tickets to the newly arrived Egyptian Circus. Holmes is puzzled by his brother Mycroft's cryptic gift but is intrigued enough to attend the next production. The performers, dressed as wondrous half-animal, half-human gods from Egyptian mythology, display superhuman agility and stunts. But they speak no Arabic, sequester themselves in the stables after each show and take orders from a mysterious ring master who is yet to be seen. And then one of the performers is murdered.

It’s not a good Sherlock Holmes book and it’s not a good retelling of the picture of Dorian Gray. It would’ve been better if it was some kind of Frankenstein retelling. it has absolutely zero to do with the novel by Oscar Wilde and I was extremely disappointed. The premise with everything going on is absolutely bizarre and unrelated to Sherlock Holmes and Dorian Gray. It’s written just fine and the narrator was all right but if you’re expecting a Sherlock Holmes novel or a retelling of Dorian Gray, this isn’t it.

Story
Jesse James was a fabled outlaw, a charismatic, spiritual, larger-than-life bad man whose bloody exploits captured the imagination and admiration of a nation hungry for antiheroes. Robert Ford was a young upstart torn between dedicated worship and murderous jealousy, the "dirty little coward" who coveted Jesse's legend.
