Story
Why, oh why, did Anne Marie Whitehall take her own life, swallowing away her pain and her grief with a handful of Nembutal capsules and a bottle of Merlot? Does Samantha Jacobs, the red-haired vixen grinding away on a pole at the Revue know? Or perhaps Deena Cook, harried mother of four and a regular visitor at Children's Services?

I really enjoyed this and literally LOLed. It was a little on the trashy side but I loved being able to visit their world. Waiting for book #2!

Story
It's one minute after the Big One. Marty Slack, a TV executive, crawls out from under his Mercedes, parked outside what once was a downtown Los Angeles warehouse. Downtown LA is in ruins. The sky is thick with smoke. His cell phone is dead. The freeways are rubble. It will be days before help can arrive. Marty has been expecting this day all his life. He's prepared. He knows there is only one thing he can do... that he must do: get home to his wife, Beth.

I really liked this! I was a little unsure at first and had to learn to love the main character Marty, or at least learn to like him. There were a few things that didn't make sense, but all in all it tied together. The way the book ended was a little disappointing. The idea behind it was really good - it just would have been better if there had been a little lead in to it and a little after story. This book was interesting and entertaining and has given me a few things to think about.
