Story
Shari Franke’s childhood was a constant battle for survival. Her mother, Ruby Franke, enforced a severe moral code while maintaining a façade of a picture-perfect family for their wildly popular YouTube channel 8 Passengers, which documented the day-to-day life of raising six children for a staggering 2.5 million subscribers. But a darker truth lurked beneath the surface—Ruby’s wholesome online persona masked a more tyrannical parenting style than anyone could have imagined.

I hate to admit I was a passenger on your mom‘s channel for many years as much as I liked to see all your family and things that were going on. I did dislike the way that things were happening and started to step back and I unliked the channel and left for quite a while, I’ve been avid listener, and you did a really good job reading this book showing your pain. You could hear it in your voice at the beginning. I hope that your family heals from this and that your mother will get the help that she needs, but she doesn’t need to see your siblings. Thank you for writing this.

Story
After a seemingly uneventful pregnancy, Megan Nix’s second daughter, Anna, was born very small and profoundly deaf. Megan and her husband, Luke, learned that Anna could have lifelong delays due to an infection from a virus they had never heard of: cytomegalovirus, or CMV, which Megan had unwittingly contracted from her toddler during pregnancy.

Engaging and the author is very easy to listen to.
This needs to be told to all pregnant women so they can make informed decisions for the care of their child during pregnancy
