Story
Sancia Grado is a thief, and a damn good one. And her latest target, a heavily guarded warehouse on Tevanne’s docks, is nothing her unique abilities can’t handle. But unbeknownst to her, Sancia’s been sent to steal an artifact of unimaginable power, an object that could revolutionize the magical technology known as scriving. The Merchant Houses who control this magic - the art of using coded commands to imbue everyday objects with sentience - have already used it to transform Tevanne into a vast, remorseless capitalist machine.

Just Meh
Reviewed: 01-29-25
This book had all the pieces to make a great book but for some reason I found it hard to connect to. I found myself bored. Honestly, the parts without Clef in it were just meh. He was the only character I really cared about.
I find it hard to care what happens in 2 more books.

It was eh
Reviewed: 03-05-24
I have a hard time with unlikable main characters and unfortunately there weren't any other characters with much personality to make up for it. It was hard to stay very interested. No one had much personality until the end and the "enemies to lovers" was not enemies nor did it seem believable.

Foxglove is such a wonderful 2nd to Belladonna. These audiobooms are so fantastic, the narrator is PERFECT! I cannot wait for the next book.
