Story
Despite believing he was bionic as a child, Ira Rainey was far from an elite athlete with superhuman running abilities like the ones he read about in books. He was in fact an overweight and unfit slacker who felt a bit sorry for himself because he had sore feet. Sure he ran a bit, but he also sat around a lot and ate and drank too much. Why? Because he could, and because he was a delusional optimist who thought everything would always be just fine.

On-point & Great Information

What made the experience of listening to Extreme Ownership the most enjoyable?
Real-world examples that provided context for the points being made by the authors. The message of the book was clearly communicated.
What other book might you compare Extreme Ownership to and why?
This book is in a class of it's own & needed in our current culture. As a general observation, people do not want to take responsibility for anything negative. This book points out that you are the only person who is responsible.
What insight do you think you’ll apply from Extreme Ownership?
My favorite insight is that the mistakes of others are still your responsibility. Failing to foresee & prevent that mistake is "on you." This book should be required reading. Very eye-opening.

Extreme success, by definition, lies beyond the realm of normal action. If you want to achieve extreme success, you can’t operate like everybody else and settle for mediocrity. You need to remove luck and chance from your business equation, and lock in massive success. The 10X Rule shows you how!

Overly simplistic & obvious
Reviewed: 11-24-15
What disappointed you about The 10X Rule?
This book was so generalized that it was basically useless. The basic premise: work harder. Complete waste of time & money.
Has The 10X Rule turned you off from other books in this genre?
no
How could the performance have been better?
Provide usable information & specific examples. Generalized "work harder" principles help nobody.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
Disappointment that I didn't listen to reviews that warned of this issue.
