Story
Hollywood, 1938: As soon as she learns MGM is adapting her late husband’s masterpiece for the screen, 77-year-old Maud Gage Baum sets about trying to finagle her way onto the set. Nineteen years after Frank’s passing, Maud is the only person who can help the producers stay true to the spirit of the book - because she’s the only one left who knows its secrets. But the moment she hears Judy Garland rehearsing the first notes of “Over the Rainbow”, Maud recognizes the yearning that defined her own life story.

Story
In a house full of history and secrets, the past will not stay where it belongs.... Lou has always loved Hill House, the derelict manor on the abandoned land near her home. As a child, the tragic history of its owners, the Mandevilles, inspired her dream to become a history teacher. But in her late 20s, working in a shop to pay off student debts, life is passing her by. That changes when a family disaster sends Lou’s life into a downward spiral, and she seeks comfort in the ruined corridors of Hill House.

Story
It's funny how I used to be so self-conscious about being a ginger girl, but that was before I realized all those teasing boys were obsessed with what's between my legs. And now that I know how men really feel about freckled redheads, this untouched strawberry tart is ready to finally pop her cherry!

so bad, it's funny

The writing is maudlin at best, and the story was told in the first person by a young female character, but inexplicably narrated by a gravelly voiced man.
This is a good short audio book if you've been drinking with some friends and want a good belly laugh; otherwise, it's just bad.

Extraordinary narrations and extremely well-written stories. Perfectly enjoyable and perhaps the best time-travel trilogy by this author thus far.
