I very much enjoyed this book and took away some good lessons from it. Her relationship with her mother, there is something there for all of us rebellious girls to relate to. Crazy how our teenage years cause so much damage in our relationship with our parents.

This was a good book. I enjoyed hearing about her experiences and what she has learned about valuing her own culture.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I can relate to so many things in this book and I just devoured the entire book as I hadn’t done with any other book in ages. I hope I can find another to enjoy as much as this one. I highly recommend this book. Especially if you are a first generation Mexican-American girl. Representation matters.
