Story
Meet Jane. Newly arrived to Birmingham, Alabama, Jane is a broke dog-walker in Thornfield Estates—a gated community full of McMansions, shiny SUVs, and bored housewives. The kind of place where no one will notice if Jane lifts the discarded tchotchkes and jewelry off the side tables of her well-heeled clients. Where no one will think to ask if Jane is her real name. But her luck changes when she meets Eddie Rochester. Recently widowed, Eddie is Thornfield Estates’ most mysterious resident.

not many twists

writing was good but very predictable. Felt repetitive and very focused on descriptors as opposed to actual story building

good story, voices were a little off to me and seems like the author may not have researched law much prior to but overall enjoyable.

strange story with twists that don't seem to connect and rather exist for sake of shock value.
Hard to believe main character and his friends are SEVEN and makes a realist wonder if author has met kids that age.
all of that said, I did stick with for the entire story - which was LOOOOONG - and usually I give up if it is AWFUL so my review is "not awful".
