Very frustrating to listen to a British accent discussing France and very badly pronouncing the French terms. Not worth the listen even if the story might have been interesting.

The narrator read with energy and vigor. It felt real and present. Excellent performance and very powerful text.

It’s as if the narrator has no idea what he’s reading

Forget the terrible prononciation of the foreign text, Scott can’t even read basic English words. Poor quality and very distracting performance and overall not worth the time.

As a native francophone I was pleased and delighted by the performance. Très très bien fait. Very very well done. The story is interesting and while the dietary references are a bit heavy handed I was still delighted with the story overall.

Absolutely worth every last minute. Just excellent. The voices, accents, inflections and the STORY - be still my heart...perfectly done. Nice to see a tale set in the south without being full of base caricature and yankee hubris.

My goodness I have rarely read a text so full of silly generalizations and overtly hostile stereotypes. Trite and tried too hard to make a point thereby missing an opportunity of creating an actually interesting tale. Disappointed in the overall plot/denouement but ok performance by the reader.
