Story
Every generation, a journalist has looked deep into the heart of the nuclear military establishment: the technologies, the safeguards, the plans, and the risks. These investigations are vital to how we understand the world we really live in—where one nuclear missile will beget one in return, and where the choreography of the world’s end requires massive decisions made on seconds’ notice with information that is only as good as the intelligence we have. Pulitzer Prize finalist Annie Jacobsen’s Nuclear War: A Scenario explores this ticking-clock scenario.

Another AJ home run as usual. Frightening.

I really wasn't prepared for the full scenario for what would happen in the event nuclear war started. I really pray we never get to that point. But it seems like some people are determined to get us there.

A Must Read

I am fairly new to human design and so I've been taking in as much content as I can and I'm so glad I found this book. SO many things made so much sense as I listen to Evelyn discuss various aspects of what it means to generally be present in the world and relate to others when this is your human design type. Everything from making a more conscious decision to wait to be asked before offering input during meetings to spending time with loved ones is addressed here. It's a fantastic manual for those only recently learned that they are a Projector.
Get it, read it and marinate on the information shared here. I assure you it will change your life for the better.

Story
In 1972, when workers in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, were digging the foundations for a new development, the last thing they expected to find was a skeleton at the bottom of a well. Who the skeleton was and how it got there were two of the long-held secrets kept by the residents of Chicken Hill, the dilapidated neighborhood where immigrant Jews and African Americans lived side by side and shared ambitions and sorrows. Chicken Hill was where Moshe and Chona Ludlow lived when Moshe integrated his theater and where Chona ran the Heaven & Earth Grocery Store.

This certainly didn't end how I had hoped, but as a look into the future I don't know what else I could have expected. I'm not even sure if some people should read this book because the ending is so bleak, but it's best to be aware than not I guess. It's definitely intriguing and it's very insightful if you're willing to see what's presented. GLTA

This one will stay with me for a long time. The amazing writing aside, Robin Miles does a superb job of narrating this book. It felt like there was a whole room of voices at one point and it was only her! Absolutely amazing. I am a brand new Marlin James fan after learning about this book in an article somewhere a few months ago. I thoroughly enjoyed this and I can't wait to read more of his work. And this book isn't even new! That's one of the most amazing things about reading. You can have a great, epic read waiting for you that's been around forever. Love it.

Story
It took me a lifetime to have the courage and the clarity to write my memoir. I want to tell the story of the moments - the ups and downs, the triumphs and traumas, the debacles and the dreams - that contributed to the person I am today. This book is composed of my memories, my mishaps, my struggles, my survival, and my songs. Unfiltered. I went deep into my childhood and gave the scared little girl inside of me a big voice. I let the abandoned and ambitious adolescent have her say, and the betrayed and triumphant woman I became tell her side.
