Not the characteristic fun of SmartLess this time. I usually enjoy Kevin Hart, but this episode seemed overly rude and almost hostile.

I chose this because I enjoy Rosamund Pike. She's wonderful as always. The story is ok but seems underdeveloped. Since this is a prequel, the world-building may rely on the other books in the series which I had not yet read.

This book took a few chapters to get me hooked, but then kept a steady pace as the plot developed.

Vanessa Redgrave breathes life into Joan Didion's thought-provoking work with this deep and moving performance. Beautifully executed, this is a heart-wrenching, tear-inducing story of loss and remembrance.
