Story
Old ways have been broken in the blood and smoke of the Battle of Thornhurst by Allystaire Stillbright and followers of the Goddess. Now the Paladin must recover from his ordeal, carve out a hopeful future for the shattered Baronies, and prepare for the next attack upon the Goddess' new and fragile following. But the corrupt deity, Braech, the Sea-Dragon, will not easily let go of the power that has long been his. Braech's minions march on the now-weakened Baronies. The final battle, a crusade against the Mother and all of her followers, is near.

Incredible, wonderful, sorrowful. Mr. Ford you have outdone many of your peers. This story is the epitome of humanity. That ending hit me where few other books will witness. Congratulations, I’m crying.

In the meantime, the Human Fleet is now ready to take on the forces of the Expansion in massive head-to-head battles among the stars. Your performance of all these different characters was good. Except the main character. He is an educated Navy SEAL!!! He is not some Cali beach bum so he will not sound like one. The actual books don’t portray him as one so stop trying to make him sound like one. That’s my only complaint, good job otherwise.

Unchained from fate, the Norse gods Loki and Hel are ready to unleash Ragnarok, a.k.a. the Apocalypse, upon the earth. They’ve made allies on the darker side of many pantheons, and there’s a globe-spanning battle brewing that ancient Druid Atticus O’Sullivan will be hardpressed to survive, much less win.

Any additional comments?
The author needs to realize this is not a good book to end this series with. SPOILERS
Atticus is the hero of the series regardless of his mistakes. He pays for them. He loses what it means to be a Druid. It’s only suggested that he gets this back not confirmed. He loses the love interest because he sent her out of harms way. She states there is still an attraction between the two but she can’t be around him because he manipulated her into safety with out her consent. If this decision is enough to make her lose faith in him so that she breaks it off then maybe he deserved some one better than her. This was just not a good ending compared to the rest of the series, Im disappointed.

Story
New York has a problem few are aware of. Creatures of myth and darkness prowl the night-shrouded streets, preying on those who won’t be missed. At least, those are the rules. Bodies are turning up, and their deaths are far from natural. Our kind’s existence depends on remaining nothing more than folklore and fairy tales, but someone has decided to break the rules. Now, it’s my job to stop a conspiracy before it threatens to expose the truth about vampires and werewolves. My name is Leo Malone.

Story
Minalan gave up a promising career as a professional warmage to live the quiet life of a village spellmonger in the remote mountain valley of Boval. It was a peaceful, beautiful little fief, far from the dangerous feudal petty squabbles of the Five Duchies, on the world of Callidore. There were cows. Lots of cows. And cheese. For six months things went well: He found a quaint little shop, he befriended the local lord, the village folk loved him, he found a sharp young apprentice to help out, and, best yet, he met a comely young widow with the prettiest eyes.

Finally. I've been waiting for the audio version of this series for two years.
Reviewed: 02-14-17
I'm not going to review just this book. The entire series is a work of art. And what surprised me at first is the fact that the first few books are the boring ones yet they contain a lot of action. When the author really gets into the world building (especially Minalan's property, best I can describe without spoilers, is where the story really takes off. ) that makes the long books worth it. Listen to it or dive into to reading them, you can't go wrong. I've read them all up to date and I will still purchase the audio because they are that good.
