Story
In the years since Lindon left Sacred Valley, he has attained power beyond anything his family thought possible. Now he’ll have to put those powers to the test, because a Dreadgod is on its way. Lindon and his allies set out to evacuate the valley before the arrival of the Wandering Titan, but their sacred arts are weakened by an ancient curse. They’ll have to persuade the squabbling inhabitants of Sacred Valley to leave behind their home and set off into the outside world. But it has been a long time since Lindon left, and more has changed than he realized.

I Need More
Reviewed: 04-08-21
I’ve written reviews on a couple of the books in the Cradle series and this book is really not much different than the rest when addressing its readability and likability.
Seriously superb. This book touches on all of the attributes that a Cradle fanatic (& Will Wight fanatic) loves to find in these books. Love. Comedy. Anger. Sorrow. Eye-rolling drama. Dross’ wit. And ACTION.
I am left with far more questions about Cradle and the Way than I ever had been after reading any of these books. Itching for the next one.
Keep rocking Will.

As the Uncrowned King tournament reaches its final rounds, tensions between the competing factions are higher than ever. The outcome may determine the power balance throughout the rest of the world. Each Monarch schemes to seize any advantage they can...while far away, a Dreadgod stirs. When the tournament ends, the Dreadgod will rise. Whether it will be driven back into the sea or allowed to rampage depends on the Monarchs. And on which of them is left standing.

Astounding
Reviewed: 01-11-21
I just finished this series (well, what’s been written so far) for the second time... in 6 months. I’m not usually one to relisten or reread a book/series - to have done it less than six months of the first listen through is saying something. It now lives in the ranks of my top five favorite books/series of all time.
I wrote a review on the first book hoping to grasp the attention of some new readers and entice them enough to give it a chance. I just wanted to say that I was just as satisfied, if not more, after listening to the books the second time through as the first time. Simply astounding. Well done Will, well done.

Story
Outside Sacred Valley, ancient ruins rise from the earth, drawing sacred artists from miles around to fight for the treasures within. Factions rise and fall as warriors bicker over rare resources, but time is limited. A powerful family from the Blackflame Empire is coming to claim the ruins, and when they arrive, no one else will have a chance at the prize. Lindon has reached Copper, taking the first step on the road to power, but the warriors of the outside world are still far beyond him.

A Series of the Ages
Reviewed: 12-15-20
I listen to a lot of books by the standards of most. A vast majority of them being of the fantasy and science fiction genres. I listened to this book - and the rest of the series directly after - earlier this year, 2020, and it quite honestly changed me in a profound way.
If you’re here for a cultivation novel, look no further. The mechanics whir as if coated in butter composed of pure silk.
If you’re here for progression fantasy - X marks the spot, my friends. London starts with nothing and... Well, just read it to find out and then thank me later.
If you’re here looking for best friends and arch rivals amongst the characters between each push of the play/pause button, be prepared to shed unexpected tears and to startle those who walk past you at the grocery when you have sudden onset laughter full of pure joy - or stark insanity.
If you’re here for a truly captivating story, I listened to the seven of these that were out at the time in nearly the amount of time it would have taken to listen without pause. I’m back for seconds.
Whatever your reason for stumbling on this book, give it a shot. Truly I tell you, you will not regret this.

Story
The world watches the sky with trepidation. The insanity of Xenocide knew no bounds, and all will soon suffer the effects he had planned for a millennium. Though none know what is to come, they all know it isn't going to be easy to survive. The Master has a plan, one that can give the world at large a way to escape the onrushing desolation. It may be on the bleeding edge of morality and what he needs might prove too difficult to secure, but the Master asks for trust. Cal and Dale both have their role to play as the world hurtles toward destruction.

Outstanding story, truly. But the change in narrators was beyond jarring. Should have started with Luke Daniels from the beginning.

What an incredible story. I experienced everything from being on the very edge of my seat to my eyes welling with tears at the uncovering of something sad. You will not regret your decision to read and/or listen to this series. Make sure to listen to Corpies between Year 3 and Year 4.
