Story
Every month, for three days, a mysterious fog filled with demonic creatures swallows the world. Since its first appearance a decade ago, I’ve diligently secured my home against the danger. Today, my sister’s negligence has allowed something in. A Mistwalker. A part of him now resides inside of me, his brand on my chest a constant reminder of his presence. He terrifies me and threatens to derail the life I’ve been building. And yet, a part of me is drawn to him.…

Love the story, but not the narration
Reviewed: 11-11-24
I love Regine Abel's books. She usually has Daryl Mayfield or Christian Black narrate her books and they are incredible. I didn't care for James C. Jones' narration. He was just reading the book and hesitated sometimes on words while readings some sentences. Also, there really wasn't much emotion or changes in voices when different people spoke. I almost stopped listening, but I like the story and wanted to know the ending.

Very good story line and players. Ray Porter is the best narrator. I know that any books he narrates will be great.

One word. Stay. It was all he had to do. Instead, he got on that bus and took my heart with him. That was 17 years ago. I moved on. Marriage. Kids. White picket fence. Everything I ever wanted, but my husband betrayed me and I was left once again.

Anything Andi and Sebastian narrate will always be great!! I specifically look for both of them, when purchasing my next audiobooks. Zach and Presley have a hard won love story.

Story
The day he said he'd never love me is when I vowed Quinn Miller would never break my heart again. I wanted a family - but he wouldn't give me that. As one of the top embryologists in the country, I've spent years creating babies in the lab for other people as my own dreams of motherhood fade. I'm done waiting. I decide to start the journey to parenthood alone. Then Quinn strolls back into my life, with all the finesse of a hurricane. I'm a fool to think I don't want him anymore, and one reckless night of passion ends with me pregnant by the man I swore I'd never love again.

I little disappointed with this one

I love Corrine Michaels and am really enjoying reading through the Salvation series. I absolutely loved Jackson and Katherine, Liam and Natalie, and Mark and Charlie, but I am really irritated by Ashton in this book. It took until Chapter 24 before she even started being nice to Quinn. We've all been hurt, lied to, cheated on, and treated badly by men, but Ashton was over the top in being mean, and stubborn. I have not finished Indefinite and I'm not sure if I want to, which is unlike me. I've had enough of Ashton's anger, drama, and poor me attitude. Quinn has done enough already to show her he's changed. Enough already with "I don't trust him to not break my heart again" and the ping-ponging of her emotions. Maybe, I'll change my review once I've finished this book and onto book number 2, but from the reviews I've seen - maybe not.

Fifty Shades of Grey Review
Reviewed: 09-30-22
I had avoided these books and the movies because of the bad reviews, but my daughter talked me into watching the movies this year and since I am a fan of Jamie Dornan, I finally gave in. I loved the movies, so I thought I would check out the books. I decided to get the audiobook of 50 Shades as Told by Christian. I really enjoyed the book up until the constant reading of entire emails over and over again. It's not necessary to say the signature," Christian Grey, CEO, Grey Enterprises Holding, Inc", as well as the date and time of every single email. Also, going from a virgin to having sex 4 times in one day was a little ridiculous and made me feel like Christian is a sex addict (which I am sure he is). His wanting to control even Anna's emotions and threatening punishment for rolling her eyes, irritating him, and saying things that made him feel she was being disrespectful actually made me very uneasy and nervous.- being a woman and putting myself in Anna's position, but I also understand that is part of his being "50 Shades of fucked up". Overall, I enjoyed the book, and the depression he felt after they broke up was very well written and I could actually feel it in my chest (we've all been there). I give it 4 stars.
