Story
Travel back to a small Southern town where, before there was Duncan Motors, there were the Duncan brothers: Louis, aka Sweet Lou, a lover of ladies and life and a man you did not want to cross; Lawrence, aka Larry, a screw-up as attracted to trouble as it was to him; and Lavernius, better known as LC, the soft-spoken college boy who simply wanted to sell cars.

I loved this book it tells how Duncan Motors got started ("The Family Business"). The Duncan brothers Louis aka Sweet Lou, was a ladies man and a man you really did not want to cross, then there's Lawrence aka Larry loved trouble and trouble loves him, Levi the simpleton and Lavernious Charles aka L. C. really looked out for each other and the people they cared about. A GREAT read. Carl Weber at his BEST.

Story
Cass is a known high roller in the city, and his reign in the heroin trade has lasted for years. People on the street call his gorgeous estate the "White House" because of his political connections and power. His home is untouchable and off-limits to the local hoodlums. But all this changes the night he meets Draya, an opportunistic beauty queen. She meticulously orchestrates a robbery, which goes smoothly - until the tables turn. Five people walk into the house, but only one walks out.

This was a great short story, it goes to show when you take what doesn't belong to you the consequences may be more than you're willing to pay

A Very Good Read

I really enjoyed this movie, I just recently watched the movie on BET but I like the book better. The characters were really easy to picture as the scenes unfolded. I hope there will be a sequel I would love to see if Daryl and Connie will last and as a twist could there possibly be a witness somewhere in the alley as Daryl was fleeing the scene.
