I’ve read plenty of world history books but this is enlightening and stands out because of the focus on the ripple effects (and the interconnection) of culture through geography

This was one of the worst experiences ever! A high level philosopher and one of his most important books: read by the wrong person, imagine that! I cant judge nor criticize the interpretation nor the reader which probably meant only good but this is one of my favorite authors and all along this book I could not actually listen to anything because too distracted by the strong accent and the weird interpretation of the reader who seems to be reading a hot gossipy small-town romance, a style that totally crashes with the scientific austerity of Foucault. so sad and really hope they will be able to upload a real version of this book . It is unlistenable.

This book sounds like a cynical manifesto about a simple life that looks at the world in a very intellectual and deep way understanding that there is very little one can do . in its simplicity it is one of the most philosophical books I have read…. Really funny at moments in its own dark way, and very entertaining with a lot of spicy sexual descriptions.
