Story
Tim Kennedy has a problem; he only feels alive right before he’s about to die. Kennedy, a Green Beret, decorated Army sniper, and UFC headliner, has tackled a bull with his bare hands, jumped out of airplanes, dove to the depths of the ocean, and traveled the world hunting poachers, human traffickers, and the Taliban. But he’s also the same man who got kicked out of the police department, fire department, and as an EMT, before getting two women pregnant four days apart, and finally, been beaten up by his Special Forces colleagues.

Great stories

In listening to this you forget that this is really about someone’s life. It is very interesting listening to the stories of being an sf baby in the 18xray program. I spent time at group and I understand how some of the older guys look at you differently when you first get there and deploy with them. There are a lot of good lessons in life in this book.

Story
The Navy has the SEALS, and the Army has the Green Berets. They are masters of asymmetrical warfare, trained to immerse themselves in hostile territory, sleeping near their enemies and building relationships with people who may want to kill them. Retired lieutenant colonel Tony Schwalm knows this group well, because he is one of them and he trained them. In The Guerrilla Factory, he provides an unbelievably gripping inside look into the grueling training that every army officer must endure to become one of America's elite Green Berets.

I enjoyed it his detailed telling of the various stories and items occurring during training as well as things that occurred outside of training. Would have been nice to hear more of his dealings at SOCOM.
