Captivating story! Best narration I've ever listened to. Definitely one of the best books ever written.

I loved the unconditional love/genuine friendship that everyone showed Carolyn. Regardless of her sin.

They are five kids with five different fathers and an alcoholic mother who leaves them to fend for themselves for weeks at a time. Yet through it all, they have each other. Rosie, the youngest, is fawned over and shielded by her older sister, Regina. Their mother, Cookie, blows in and out of their lives "like a hurricane, blind and uncaring to everything in her path". I highly suggest listening to Etched in Sand before you listen to this.
Don't even hesitate. If you pass them up, you are missing out on two of the best stories you will ever have the opportunity to experience. Please note: There are several graphic /heart wrenching situations to listen through and then try to wrap your head around them. Its hair-raising to know that these kinds of things happen every day, and everywhere. Thank you for having the courage to share your experience , strength and hope!!
