Story
The Manipulator. I can manipulate the emotions of anyone who lets me. I will make you hurt, make you cry, make you laugh and sigh. But my words don't affect him. Especially not when I plead for him to leave. He's always there, watching and waiting. And I can never look away. Not when I want him to come closer. The Shadow. I didn't mean to fall in love. But now that I have, I can't stay away. I'm mesmerized by her smile, by her eyes, and the way she moves. I'll keep watching and waiting. Until I can make her mine. And once she is, I'll never let her go.

Don't stick that there...

I had high hopes for this after seeing it all over BookTok and book stores. I just gotta say, man, what a bummer.
While I mostly enjoy the narration, after hearing the male narrator for the first time, I wondered if Kyle Prue was trolling us all. After listening a bit longer, the character overwhelmed me with the ick.
Spoiler-ish TW commentary.
I know I keep seeing heads up on those trigger warnings, but I think the real TW needs to be that this is an overtly non-consensual relationship for a good long while. Even then, it feels as if the FMC has been gaslit into ignoring her own inner warnings because the MMC 'knows her better than she knows herself'. There are very heavy SA themes, with the FMC then feeling confused after an altercation because the MMC is physically attractive and he made her 'feel good'. For what this guy does that's meant to be his saving grace trait, the way he treats the FMC really nullifies those actions. Yes, he does the good guy thing for others, but when it comes to this one woman? I mean, she's a WOMAN. How could she possibly know what's good for her, right?
He's beautiful, his member is an ode to the Burj Khalifa, and he saves women and children - he's a 10... but the word 'no' is not in his vocabulary.

Story
The Marigold, a gleaming Toronto condo tower, sits a half-empty promise: a stack of scuffed rental suites and undelivered amenities that crumbles around its residents as a mysterious sludge spreads slowly through it. Public health inspector Cathy Jin investigates this toxic mold as it infests the city’s infrastructure, rotting it from within, while Sam “Soda” Dalipagic stumbles on a dangerous cache of data while cruising the streets in his Camry, waiting for his next rideshare alert.

Really interesting...however...

As others have written, this was a thoughtful plot and aspects of it brought to mind a modern day version of Mexican Gothic. The narrator was super good in all regards EXCEPT Cabeza's voice. Every time he did it, I couldn't help but picture Vincent D'Onofrio as the Bug in the first MIB movie. I had to stop listening to the audio and pull out a borrowed copy to get through his parts.
