I am bored to death with this one. Follet is one of my favorite authors but after almost 4 chapters I can't stand any more. I think it may be listening to the reader (not a performer) rattle on. Makes me feel like I am hearing a phone book read aloud. Sorry Ken. I can't take any more.

Story
Dover Station, Montana, is no place for a lawman. A sheriff's badge ain't worth a nickel here - unless you've got the bullets to back it up. When he signed up to be sheriff of this dirty little boomtown, Aaron Mackey knew he was asking for trouble. Once, when Mackey was the US marshal for the whole Montana Territory, he swore no job could get any harder. But that was before he took down a few of the bank-robbing Hancock gang in Dover Station - and incurred the wrath of the gang's maniacal matriarch, Mad Nellie Hancock.

Story
In the early hours of November 9, 2016, one of the most contentious, polarizing, and vicious presidential races came to an abrupt and unexpected end when heavily favored presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton called Donald J. Trump to concede, shocking a nation that had, only hours before, given little credence to his chances. Donald Trump pulled the greatest upset in American political history despite a torrent of invective and dismissal of the mainstream media.

It's a little nerdy. And has some boring statistics but such things are necessary for politics. I'll read it again sometime. Thanks to Roger for his insight 👍.

I own several books by George Eliot. Yes I know he is a women and I don't care. I like lots different styles and genres of books but I can't stand these two, The Radical or The Mill on the Floss. I will not continue any further with them and wouldn't recommend either.
