Story
Everyone likes Humaira "Hani" Khan - she’s easygoing and one of the most popular girls at school. But when she comes out to her friends as bisexual, they invalidate her identity, saying she can’t be bi if she’s only dated guys. Panicked, Hani blurts out that she’s in a relationship...with a girl her friends absolutely hate - Ishita "Ishu" Dey. Ishu is the complete opposite of Hani. She’s an academic overachiever who hopes that becoming head girl will set her on the right track for college. But Ishita agrees to help Hani, if Hani will help her become more popular.

Lovely coming of age story that reminded me what it was like going through school and trying to figure yourself, meet family expectations, do well in class, and try to date... Let alone get away with "fake dating" 😂 At first there are elements that seem predictable but the character arcs and events that occur will definitely surprise you throughout! It was also interesting to have alternating perspective of who was talking each chapter. I loved the representation and the story kept me intrigued. 🌈✨

Story
As a young Christian man, Matthew Vines harbored the same basic hopes of most young people: to someday share his life with someone, to build a family of his own, to give and receive love. But when he realized he was gay, those hopes were called into question. The Bible, he’d been taught, condemned gay relationships. Feeling the tension between his understanding of the Bible and the reality of his same-sex orientation, Vines devoted years of intensive research into what the Bible says about homosexuality.

Wish I had found this sooner. It’s wild the things that many churches has latched onto ignorantly, causing so much unnecessary harm… Very glad to see such a thorough dive on this perspective and topic

Magic, mystery, and lgbtq characters not centered around heteronormativity… YAY! I had no idea what to expect with this book and it ended up being a “page turner”. I already preordered the sequel!

While touring a wedding venue with her engaged friends, Margot comes face-to-face with Olivia Grant—her childhood friend, her first love, her first… well, everything. At times cheesy and frustrating… like just communicate already! But, I can’t say I haven’t been in similar situations. The characters are realistic, humorous, and overall adorable. Love a feel good. I don’t usually read rom-coms but I found myself flying through this one
