What did you love best about Transcendence?
The realism in each poem touched me. Some more than others but you can tell each was penned with thoughtful emotion.
Have you listened to any of Sarah Van Sweden’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
No this is the first and I thought she did a great job. Her voice was very soothing
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Some of the poems touched me to the point that brought tears to my eyes. The one about her grandmother and cousin's passing and the grace that is talked about. I loved this book.

Story
When a highly classified schematic of a prototype engine is stolen, the evidence points to an inside job, in "Hidden Lies". In "Nightmare", Melanie's childhood demons carry over into adulthood when she returns to her ancestral home. Detective Newport races against time to apprehend a killer targeting prosecuting attorneys in "Payback". "The Night Stalker" is not a figment of Pamela's imagination as she tries to convince the police that her life is in danger.

Different and exceeded my expectations

What did you love best about Once Upon a Western Way?
I wasn't sure what to expect when I got this audio book for a road trip. What drew me to this book in the first place was the beautifully designed cover and then the description. What I found interesting is the time setting. It is set in the future, not in the past as I expected.
I was enthralled with this book and the narrator did an excellent job. I loved how she was able to distinguish the characters with her voice. My favorite voice was Mac's.
The story line itself was very engaging. In fact, when one of my favorite characters dies, I almost cried. I was driving so I didn't but I wanted to. For an author to expel that kind of emotion out of a reader then you know the reader connected to the character.
The ending wasn't what I expected and I can't say more without giving spoilers.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Mac - his accent and the way he inter-related with the Queen.
What about Sallie Downing’s performance did you like?
I enjoyed the way she made all the characters come to life. She used different voices to do this.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
yes
Any additional comments?
I loved this book.

Story
"May I have this dance, Hilde?" asked Field Marshal Rommel, opening the Grande Ball held in his honour. Did this dance save the life of Hilde's Polish friends? Hilde had come a long way since her dream of becoming a singer was shattered when her father made arrangements for her to work as a housekeeper in Berlin at the tender age of fourteen. Hilde's life is thrown into turmoil in Berlin during the late 1920s early 1930s.

Both are equal in quality. I do like the narrator as she pronounced words that I didn't know how to pronounce when I read the book.

This is the first narration I have listened to by Nancy Peterson and Bennett Allen. I enjoyed it very much.

My emotions did go from one extreme to another because the information contained in this book has an emotional theme to it.

The era this books was written in brings out the turmoil, destruction, and the hardships of their time.
