Story
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

this book was such a great listen. i grew up watching icarly, and i had no idea about jeanette’s upbringing and background. i loved hearing the story read by her. this book is funny, heartbreaking, and talks about the struggles of growing up in the spotlight, having a narcissist mother, eating disorders, relationships, and more. i loved it

As an avid Spenser fan, I found this to be one of the best books in the series. Plenty of twists and turns, along with Spenser's dry humor throughout.

Matthew Mercer and Harris Sandler are playing a mysterious game. It's a game almost no one knows about: not their friends, not their coworkers, and certainly not their bosses, who are some of the most powerful senators and congressmen on Capitol Hill.
