Love how each character was beautifully flawed and had their own struggles. Narration was really good surprisingly since it was the author herself.

Story
Based in part on Dickens's own life, it is the story of a young man's journey from an unhappy and impoverished childhood to the discovery of his vocation as a successful novelist. Among its gloriously vivid cast of characters, he e.ncounters his tyrannical stepfather, Mr. Murdstone; his formidable aunt, Betsey Trotwood; the eternally humble yet treacherous Uriah Heep; the frivolous, enchanting Dora; and one of literature's great comic creations, the magnificently impecunious Mr. Micawber.

Great story

It’s a coming of age story of not a young person but a mother of a young adult. She’s learning how to handle tough situations with her son. Then there’s the older well known artist who is also hitting a place in her life where she’s not sure or even if she belongs. Narrative is very good with her voice changes. I enjoyed it to the last word.
