Good listening for a language need

I've studied languages for the bulk of my adult life, mostly out of necessity. I'm one of those translators John does not consider a linguist. Maybe so, but most of the information passed I knew intuitively. Confirming my intuitions, or giving up new insights for me to ponder, I found this set fascinating.

I'm a Subliminal Behaviorist. How and why some compilations of matter get to have consciousness is beyond my field of expertise, but is a subject of interest to me. This is an insightful, well informed, unpretentious commentary on the subject.
