Story
Southern belle BeBe Loudermilk has lost all her worldly possessions, thanks to a brief but disastrous relationship with the gorgeous Reddy, an "investment counselor" who turns out to be a con man. All that's left is a ramshackle 1950s motel on Tybee Island, an eccentric beach town that calls itself a drinking village with a fishing problem.

Not one of her better books

Story line was a little too fluffy. Narrator voices were a little over done especially the male voices.

I first read this book when I was 14 and fell in love. It is one of the few books that I have reread numerous times. I’ve also given this book to several young girls that have a romantic side and they have liked it too. If you’ve never read Mrs Mike do yourself a favor and read it.

Story
On October 12, 1972, a plane carrying a team of young rugby players crashed into the remote, snow-peaked Andes. Out of the 45 original passengers and crew, only 16 made it off the mountain alive. For 10 excruciating weeks, they suffered deprivations beyond imagining, confronting nature head-on at its most furious and inhospitable. And to survive, these men and women not only had to keep their faith; they had to make an impossible decision: Should they eat the flesh of their dead friends?

An old but a goodie
Reviewed: 11-21-22
I had seen the movie years ago but had never read/listened to the book. It held my interest the whole time even though I knew the story. What an ordeal, what a tragedy that very few survived.

A sweet little story
Reviewed: 11-21-22
The story was sweet and well written enough. I could take this book or not. To be honest I was pretty indifferent about it. The performance on the other hand was NOT good. The dialogue was spoken very mechanical except for the main character. It was so bad I found myself making fun of it by repeating it in the same mechanical voice.

Narrator drove me crazy
Reviewed: 01-10-17
I might have really enjoyed the stories if the narrator had not driven me crazy with the over dramatic voice. I struggled to finish this one. Ugh! This is one I should have read instead of listened to.
