Story
In The Flowering of Human Consciousness, you will come face-to-face with Eckhart Tolle for a transformational meeting with this respected teacher and influential author. In clear language, Eckhart explains the process of entering the "miraculous" state of presence that is always available to us. We are lost, he says, in the maze of our own compulsive thoughts. Only by ceasing this "mental noise" can we dissolve our egos, and enable the "flowering of a new consciousness" to proceed.

Story
It’s no wonder that The Power of Now has sold over 16 million copies worldwide and has been translated into over 30 foreign languages. Much more than simple principles and platitudes, the book takes readers on an inspiring spiritual journey to find their true and deepest self and reach the ultimate in personal growth and spirituality: the discovery of truth and light. In the first chapter, Tolle introduces listeners to enlightenment and its natural enemy, the mind.

What did you love best about The Power of Now?
That it contains pure wisdom and guidance for everyone no matter what background and belonging.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Power of Now?
When Eckhart explains why we humans are the way we are and how to easily step out of what we perceive as problems in our lives and rather discover our natural inner peace and state of being.
What about Eckhart Tolle’s performance did you like?
His calm and friendly voice, his humour and most of all his extra-ordinary ability to convey wisdom and guidance from the original teachings while he allow you to instantly step out of your everyday busy-ness. It is a great stress-buster to listen to Eckhart, even if for just a few minutes. He is by far my favorite teacher and he is great to listen to when I'm driving in my car, traffic jam is not a problem to me anymore. :)
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Yes, several moments in the book moved me and the first one was at the beginning when he explains that we are not our thoughts and how we actually can stop thinking when we want to. This realization is amazing because it allows you to be at inner peace here and now without any self-help techniques or such like most self-help books suggests.
Any additional comments?
How you experience "The Power of NOW" will depend on your state of conciousness and if it does not resonnate with you at this moment I will strongly recommend you to pick it up again when you are more open. I left it for 2 years in my Audible Library after I listened only for a few minutes and found it to be very strange. The next time I picked it up it was almost like magic and could not believe how I could leave it there for so long without noticing.I give my best recommendations for all the other Audible listenings from Eckhart Tolle as well if you like this one. For more I also recommend his website www.eckharttolletv.com.
