Story
In Rocks, Joe Perry exposes his unrepentant, unbridled life as the lead guitarist of Aerosmith. He delves deep into his volatile, profound, and enduring relationship with singer Steve Tyler and reveals the real people behind the larger-than-life rock gods onstage. The nearly five-decade saga of Aerosmith is epic, at once a study in brotherhood and solitude that plays out on the killing fields of rock and roll.

A Walk Back in Rock 'n Roll Time
Reviewed: 07-03-23
I was genuinely dissapointed when I finished this book. Not because it wasn't good because I didn't want it to end. The stories were a walk back in time through the career of one of rock 'n roll's coolest & greatest guitar players (IMHO, but tough to argue nevertheless). Maybe it was exacerbated by my southern heritage but Joe Perry's presentation/narration truly made this book engaging given his genuine "Bastan" accent. Thanks for a great listen Joe...wouldn't be surprised if I didn't listen again.

Story
“This is a story about an idea that I have,” Americana legend and self-proclaimed “recovering folk singer” Steve Earle states early in his enthralling Words + Music performance. “This job of mine becomes an artform spontaneously in 1965 - when Bob Dylan wants to be John Lennon, and John Lennon wants to be Bob Dylan, whether either one of them would admit it or not - and in that moment, rock and roll becomes art."
