Story
Ever since his mother was killed, 17-year-old Cayder Broduck has had one goal - to see illegal users of magic brought to justice. People who carelessly use extradimensional magic for their own self-interest, without a care to the damage it does to society or those around them, deserve to be punished as far as Cayder is concerned. Because magic always has a price. So when Cayder lands a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to apprentice under a premier public defender, he takes it.

Absolutely Love!! ♥️😊

I personally was worried about reading this book but I am happy that I did.
First, I absolutely LOVED that the author made several characters, people of color. As a woman of color, I enjoyed the mix race class and possible romance (book two?). As a writer myself, I just loved the idea of this book.
Unique magic system, plot within plots. Fantastic character development, relationships, and banter. I like the mix of Fantasy and Sci-fi, you never question the rest of the world. Great use of multiple perspectives to make the story move forward.
P.S MAKE A BOOK TWO! I NEED IT!!!!! 😊♥️😀

Story
All she wanted to do was live her life in peace—maybe get a cat, expand the family spice farm. Really, anything that didn't involve going on an adventure where an orc might rip her face off. But they say the Goddess has favorite, and if so, Cin is clearly not one of them... After saving the demon Fallon in a wine-drunk stupor, all Fallon wants to do is kill an evil witch enslaving his people. And, who can blame him? But he's dragging Cinnamon along for the ride. On the bright side, at least he keeps burning off his shirt.

I would recommend this book to anyone interested in getting into Fantasy with a diverse cast. I love the fact that she is a woman of color and it’s an interracial relationship. I’m in one as well and it makes me relate to the character more.
Beautifully written and excellent storytelling. Can’t wait to start the next one in the series. 🤗♥️🌻

This was incredible. Very creative and well done. If I could add anything, it would be to add a narrative part, similar to The Sandman instead of going into the scene without setting the surrounds first or what the characters were doing or where they are.
This was absolutely beautiful. Great job.

I’m so glad I was introduced to Dianne Duvall through the Immortal Guardians series and not this book! I loved the Immortal Guardians SO much and was really excited about this book, especially after reading this was where she first came up with the idea for the gifted ones but this book fell so flat for me! Alyssa and Dillion were so BORING! I tried, I really did! I made it to chapter 13 before I couldn’t go any further.

As a want to be Author and bookworm, this was a pleasure to listen to.
The entire world, and sounds around the narration was fantastic. It was as if it was playing on the TV or right in front of me. I felt there with them, watching them as the gods did. As the Sandman did. The introduction to other gods, and how they were portrayed was refreshing.
The Narration was breathtaking, and pulled you in completely. I didn't get lost with who was who, and everyone tied together so perfectly. Their individual story lines were enchanting, and interesting. Morpheus's personal quest, and Rose's story was two of my favorites.
Please do more of these again! Something with Richard Armitage as the dark and powerful protagonist.

This has been my favorite so far of the 3 books in this series. I liked Bastian more than I thought I would! While the narrator of this series does a very good job I can’t help but wish there was a male narrating this series. The male immortal guardians are very masculine and I can’t help but feel a male narrator would bring out their characters so much more!
