With such a high rating, I was not expecting this rubbish. This book...has to be written by a man. The main character, Christine, is a character straight out of the 1950s. WEAKEST female main character I've seen in a novel in quite sometime. NO woman today falls apart like this during a crisis. She was essentially the epitome of dumb blonde thought the entire book. i found myself getting annoyed then angry as the story unfolded. So much space taken up in this book with her mini meltdowns at every turn. 🤦🏽‍♀️ And seriously? They lost me when they gave the female Villan a damn lisp.🤦🏽‍♀️

Thankful, I didn't waste a credit. Just...awful.

NOT Pattersons best work. I absolutely despised Amy. Have no clue how she survived all these should-have-been murdered moments. Literally confronted people out to kill her with just her face🤦🏽‍♀️

Amy should live on a mountain by herself, away from other humans.

The narration was excellent though. Only reason I finished it.

Not a bad read but the story line is disjointed. Made it hard to follow the story as they incorporated new characters. I got about halfway through before I just lost interest. Great narrators tho.

Good story but I wanted to choke every character. Absolute sappy and dramatic. Made it very hard to get through but the story line helped me finish it. Can only recommend the series if you like sappy fairytale relationship drama. 😫

Sofie. Absolutely one of the most annoying characters I've come across. Been with Audible since 2010. Perspective. The story leaves you wondering about the origines of the power and what it truly is. Frustrating. Just...meh

100% true! This is a story you can easily dissappear into. Couldn't put it down! Technically spent most of two days finishing it in between adulting. I TRULY enjoyed it even at my age; 48 🤣

Will share with my young adults. Everyone needs an adventure. Well done!

I love it when you can disappear into a good story like this. As a retired veteran, the line about rape on duty being a betrayal to a brother in arms was masterful. I delt with the inception of victim advocates and the beginning of the crackdown on sexual assault while on active duty; circa 2004. I wish this was out back then so I could have played it for the arrogant male leaders sitting around the briefing room. The attitudes concerning rape was appalling. As if it was an annoyance to discuss. This was superbly rendered.

Although this is a standalone series, Tufo did an exceptional job of bringing all the story lines together here; extremely well done sir! As a fellow veteran, I enjoyed every ounce of humor, crazy sarcasm, moral character, and lastly, the depth of emotion and realism you bring to your stories. I can literally dissappear into the adventure. Mike reminds me of all the crazy f*****s I served with and I feel like he's a battle buddy.

Ive been a fan for over 10 years now. Thank you thank you thank you...crayon eater. 🤣
