Great Narration, Great Book

I enjoyed this book so much. I'm a lifelong Rush fan. I loved hearing all the stories about the band and also their "non-rockstar" lives. This book made me laugh out loud and it also made me cry. Geddy's voice is perfect and I never zoned out like I do with some audiobooks. I hung on his every word. He is an amazing talent in too many ways to mention. Geddy, Alex, and Neil created the most amazing band! Their combined chemistry is astonishing. I miss Rush shows to be sure, but I very much enjoyed seeing Geddy at the Moore Theater in Seattle last month. He's a wonderful person and one day, like his grandson said, "you're gonna be famous."

Story
The Palmers went to the lake for a week of fun in the sun. But Alex Palmer had an agenda. He wanted his brother to reconcile with their hypercompetitive father. He wanted his daughter to break up with her shady boyfriend. Most of all, Alex wanted them to be a family one more time before he faced his predicament at home. Evil incarnate and a brutal double murder shifted Alex’s focus from wants to needs. He needed to keep his family safe. He needed to find her. He needed to know what happened at the lake.

Story
Devastated by the deaths of her parents and disillusioned with life, Caroline Daynes is in America trying to connect with their memory. Travelling to her mother's hometown of Williamsfield in Pennsylvania, she is caught in a snowstorm and forced to stop at The Egress hotel - somewhere she'd planned to visit as her parents honeymooned there. From the moment she sets foot inside the lobby and meets the surly receptionist, she realizes this is a hotel like no other. Charming and unique, it seems lost in time with a whole cast of compelling characters sheltering behind closed doors.

The narrator was good in her native tongue, but she had a very horrible American accent, which distracted from the book

Story
Detective Jenna Murphy comes to the Hamptons to solve a murder - but what she finds is more deadly than she could ever imagine. No. 7 Ocean Drive is a gorgeous, multi-million-dollar beachfront estate in the Hamptons, where money and privilege know no bounds. But its beautiful gothic exterior hides a horrific past: It was the scene of a series of depraved killings that have never been solved. Neglected, empty, and rumored to be cursed, it's known as the Murder House, and locals keep their distance.

Narrators were great, but the female one was a little high pitched for my liking, at times. Story was excellent!

Story
A single mother turns up dead at the bottom of the river that runs through town. Earlier in the summer, a vulnerable teenage girl met the same fate. They are not the first women lost to these dark waters, but their deaths disturb the river and its history, dredging up secrets long submerged. Left behind is a lonely 15-year-old girl. Parentless and friendless, she now finds herself in the care of her mother's sister, a fearful stranger who has been dragged back to the place she deliberately ran from - a place to which she vowed she'd never return.

This was a great book. Very interesting story line and characters. I actually enjoyed it more than her first book. There were a lot of characters to figure out at first, I had to back up a few times, but once you know them all the story is awesome. I hope this will be a movie.
