Story
In the summer of 1862, a group of young artists led by the passionate and talented Edward Radcliffe descends upon Birchwood Manor in rural Oxfordshire. Their plan: to spend a secluded summer month in a haze of inspiration and creativity. But by the time their stay is over, one woman has been shot dead while another has disappeared; a priceless heirloom is missing; and Edward Radcliffe’s life is in ruins. Over 150 years later, Elodie Winslow, a young archivist in London, uncovers a leather satchel containing two seemingly unrelated items.

Wonderful read with many turns.

This is my first Kate Morton and I can’t wait read more of her work. She reminds me both of Dickens (vast plot lines with lots of characters) and Austen (strongly drawn characters that pull you in almost instantly). I won’t giveaway any of the story, but if you enjoy either Dickens or Austen, you will enjoy this book!

Story
Han Solo should be basking in his moment of glory. After all, the cocky smuggler and captain of the Millennium Falcon just played a key role in the daring raid that destroyed the Death Star and landed the first serious blow to the Empire in its war against the Rebel Alliance. But after losing the reward his heroics earned him, Han's got nothing to celebrate. Especially since he's deep in debt to the ruthless crime lord Jabba the Hutt. There's a bounty on Han's head - and if he can't cough up the credits, he'll surely pay with his hide. The only thing that can save him is a king's ransom. Or maybe a gangster's fortune?

I won’t give away too much. I promise!
I love Zahn’s Star Wars book. They are always a treat & very well written. This one has lots of twists & turns. And the ending! I did not see that one coming.
The performance by Marc Thompson is excellent, as always. I really hope he does more EU books.

Story
When it comes to 19th-century French literature, few can compare to Victor Hugo. In 1831, Victor Hugo wrote one of the most memorial gothic stories of all time, Notre Dame de Paris, later changed to The Hunchback of Notre Dame in 1833. This amazing story is set in medieval Paris and is centered on the famed Notre Dame cathedral as well as the three main characters: Esmeralda (the gypsy dancer); Quasimodo (the hunchback); and the priest, Claude Frollo.

Beautiful, tragic story. Read it once & then read it again. Truly timeless. The narrator of this audiobook did an excellent job.
