As an adult listener of this book it didn't quite grab my attention. I think that the story would be more suited for a teen.

Ramona Finn was an unknown author to me until I stumbled upon the first book in this series. I was looking for a change in my usual books and reading the summary of book 1 just hooked me right in. Once I was done I moved on to book 2 and then on to book 3. I thought the narration was great all throughout and that the overall story was just wonderful.

Book 2 was another great continuation of this story. Love the character development and the path that Glade is on. She is really growing further into a strong female character. I am curious the path of her "love" interests will take. There was a lot of conflict in this story which I appreciated. There was also a twist as well that I didn't exactly see coming. I knew I was going to be in for some kind of surprise but I didn't expect what happened...vague I know.

Again, I really thought the narrator did a stellar job!

What I like about this book was the fact that for a audiobook that is less than 6 hours it didn't feel rushed. The story and the characters were developed enough that it didn't feel unnatural. The start of how the 2 main characters met was a little off to me but after listening further I forgot about my dislike of the first encounter.

The narrator and author are both new to me. The narrator did a fine job. There were a few moments in his narration of the female voice that threw me off a bit but not enough to cringe over.

Overall I liked the book and was happy to stumble upon it.

This author and narrator are both new to me.

The description of the book was an immediate draw and interest to me. I love the idea of a alternate world where we live and survive by different rules brought on by circumstances outside of our control. In this book it was brought on my the Earth no longer being inhabitable.

The story was well thought out and well written. I didn't feel as though there were any outstanding and unbelievable occurrences that happened that the author didn't make me believe was inside the realm of possibility. I am truly looking forward to getting my hands on the next book.

I thought the narrator was excellent. A lot of times a narrator can make or break a story. However, this particular narrator was truly talented. She played each character well and the emotion and tone was spot on.

Overall this is an audiobook and book I would recommend.

The idea of the story is great but I think that it needs further development. I understand that this is a short story but even with short stories a writer can still cram a lot in and the story to still come across as well developed and with a steady pace.

There was too much of the story that felt rushed and unnatural. I couldn't relate to the characters nor could I even fantasize about the characters/story.

The narrator had a decent male voice but at times I had a hard time discerning between who was speaking/thinking because his male and female voice almost sounded the same.

Quick , fun stories about a married couple that tries and succeeds in spicing up their sex life. The story was sectioned off much like diary entries. Separate rendezvous that was a different kind of encounter or fantasy that the couple got to play out. They have been married for about 20 years but are in their late 30s so still very young.

Lia did a great job narrating.

I sometimes steer clear of short stories because I worry that the story is going to feel rushed and lack substance. This was not the case with Isobel Starling's Silken. The story held a steady pace. There was no lag in the story line and there was no rushing through the story. The two main characters Silken and Austin brought a lot heat to the story. It wasn't all sex and BDSM either. Matthew aka Silken was exploring his sexuality and lingerie fetish on a online platform that he created and met Austin who then became his online Dom. By an odd and random chance their worlds collided and they met in person where they were able to live out their D/S side of their relationship that they built online.

This is my first book by Isobel Starling and I really enjoyed it. The narrator Gomez Pugh also did a very fine job. His pace was great as well as his tone and character accents.

Fun story for my 10 year old

Cute story about a kid detective that solves crimes in her community. I listened to this book with my 10 year old. Neither one of us listened to or read the first book in the series. In my opinion it is not necessary to read it first.

The story of the kid detective seemed really far fetched and there was some dangerous situations that kids should not be putting themselves into. Hopefully, any kid that reads/listens to this book doesn't get any ideas of starting their own detective agency. Aside from that, my daughter enjoyed the book very much. She thought it was cool that kids were out solving crimes.

The narrator did a fine job. My only negative was that I thought she talked very fast. There was hardly much of a pause between sentences and the narrator rolled right in to the next chapter although that I suppose is more of an editing issue.

Sweet story about love being lost and then found again.

I enjoyed the ghost aspect of the story although it did come across as a little "fairy taily " in a hocus pocus kind of way at times.

Narrator did a fine job!
