Loved the story. The narrator IS Lindsey. It wouldn't make sense without her! It reads at a good pace and the ending ends in a climactic way.

Story
It’s the eve of 1953, and Aloysius Archer is in Los Angeles to ring in the New Year with an old friend, aspiring actress Liberty Callahan, when their evening is interrupted by an acquaintance of Callahan’s: Eleanor Lamb, a screenwriter in dire straits. After a series of increasingly chilling events—mysterious phone calls, the same blue car loitering outside her house, and a bloody knife left in her sink—Eleanor fears that her life is in danger, and she wants to hire Archer to look into the matter. Archer suspects that Eleanor knows more than she’s saying.

The city of Miami is Detective Tom Moon's backyard. He's always kept it local, attending University of Miami on a football scholarship and, as a Miami PD officer, protecting the city's most vulnerable. Now, as the new leader of an FBI task force called "Operation Guardian", it's his mission to combat international crime. Moon's investigative team discovers that the opportunistic "Blood Brothers" - Russian nationals Roman and Emile Rostoff - have evaded authorities while building a vast, powerful, and deadly crime syndicate throughout Europe and metropolitan Miami.

I was so disappointed with this book!! I have listened to every book of his and was blown away with this book! Because the narration was so horrible I almost didn't get through the book. Please don't use him again Mr. Patterson! It really takes away from your usual excellent stories!

Story
The Inn at Gloucester stands alone on the rocky shoreline. Its seclusion suits former Boston police detective Bill Robinson, novice owner and innkeeper. As long as the dozen residents pay their rent, Robinson doesn't ask any questions. Neither does Sheriff Clayton Spears, who lives on the second floor. Then Mitchell Cline arrives, with a deadly new way of doing business. His crew of local killers break laws, deal drugs, and bring violence to the doors of the Inn.
