Story
Annabelle Aster doesn't bow to convention—not even that of space and time—which makes the 1890s Kansas wheat field that has appeared in her modern-day San Francisco garden easy to accept. Even more exciting is Elsbeth, the truculent schoolmarm who sends Annie letters through the mysterious brass mailbox perched on the picket fence that now divides their two worlds. In this unconventional and enchanting tale, Annie and her new neighbor must solve the mystery of what connects them before one of them is convicted of a murder that has yet to happen—and somehow already did.

Story
Sparrow “Ro” Meadowcroft is about to get the promotion she’s always dreamed of–curator of the museum where she works. She loves old things and the history that surrounds them, so when a patron leaves some items to the museum, Ro is eager to dig in. The sword in the stone that comes with those items is clearly a joke. A well-made but obvious replica meant to be a conversation starter. Why anyone would think that belonged in the museum is beyond her, but she can’t resist taking a crack at it and finding out if she’s the chosen one. And as it turns out...she is.

Story
Although we often think of an artist's work as a window into their own inner world, that is not always the case.In the life of Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky, however, we can see perhaps the closest link to be found anywhere between a creative product and the shifting moods of a turbulent soul, which found its outlet through the glorious music created by the great Russian composer. To know his music, you must know the man, and this fast-moving series of eight lectures from an award-winning composer and accomplished teacher offers an insightful look into both the circumstances of Tchaikovsky's life and the impact that life had on his music.

so disappointed
Reviewed: 11-17-22
well in perspective The Nutcracker Suite is but a small portion of Tchaikovsky's life is cultural impact on his reputation and Remembrance is tremendous; I was profoundly grieved that it was not touched upon once much less given at least half a chapter about what it meant to the composer and those who received it at its premiere. it is a great disservice to those of us who listened to this lecture series to have left that out shame on you

Most of all you would think that somebody would want you to empathize with the main character in order to get you involved not so this story. the plot is not so much intricate as convoluted and does not hook the reader enough to care about the outcome. overall for such a successful Rider I expected more.

aside from the confusion of Westchester County and Fairfield County and knowing the shops around the area mentioned in the book the authors don't know anything about Graves curiously enough when you open the grave there is a vault not just the casket and the Vault would be raised and then the casket will be taken out the Vault being made of cement would not break and the corpse would not fall out that just doesn't happen in real life for such a well-known author it's very curious that this obvious mistake would be made somehow the research into this area failed other obvious plot glitches I'll leave to others to enumerate but come on 4 4 Patterson these things really ought not to have been we're such an experience author
