It’s like chicken soup, eat the meat, and spit out the bones. And, there seems to be a consistent theme of a slant against husbands in these marriage books. Just my observation

How did the idea arise that masculinity is dangerous and destructive? Bestselling author Nancy Pearcey leads you on a fascinating excursion through American history to discover why the script for masculinity turned toxic—and how to fix it. Pearcey then turns to surprising findings from sociology. Religion is often cast as a cause of domestic abuse. But research shows that authentically committed Christian men test out as the most loving and engaged husbands and fathers. They have the lowest rates of divorce and domestic violence of any group in America.

Where’s the solution? This is misandrist rhetoric. So, she gives her opinion on Biblical manliness with her way to “fix” men. I wasted hours of my time on this book 🤢🤮

Chicken soup, eat the meat spit out the bones. I can see where “boundaries” can be used as a control tactic. The book details this. After reading the tone of this book in only several chapters, you can tell how this book is going to go.
And it’s definitely a male bashing book!
