Story
The internet is awesome, but you can't download love. Only beat-tapes. The sound of Pueblo Vista is an amalgamation of carefully curated, eloquent and soothing beats. Perfect for background music, study, relaxation, chill, sleep or that cozy morning coffee. The style is chill out music to lo-fi hip hop, chillhop, jazzhop, and sometimes ambient and electronica. The goal of our creative label & collective in order to cultivate and nourish it’s community while putting out purposeful music. Be a solid foundation to up-coming artists as well introduce established ones to new audiences.

. . . to whoever compiled these playlists. Spotify's advertisement vomiting has moved past "annoying" and into "not worth it," so this comes in clutch, my doods.

Story
The orphaned Elsie Camden learned as a girl that there were two kinds of wizards in the world: those who pay for the power to cast spells and those, like her, born with the ability to break them. But as an unlicensed magic user, her gift is a crime. Commissioned by an underground group known as the Cowls, Elsie uses her spellbreaking to push back against the aristocrats and help the common man. Elite magic user Bacchus Kelsey is one elusive spell away from his mastership when he catches Elsie breaking an enchantment. To protect her secret, Elsie strikes a bargain.

Then the male narrator spoke...

As mentioned in every other review, the male performance here is abysmal. It's beyond me how this guy has been featured in almost 200 books on Audible, as he nearly ruined this book for me. ChatGPT would have done a better job. The female is fantastic, though, and the story is cute.

Should have been narrated by David Attenborough, though. Almost makes you want to ditch your fear of spiders. Almost.

What sort of men were the Roman emperors (and they were all men)? What background and training, if any, prepared them for their awesome responsibilities? What depravities did they display? And what achievements can they claim: laws passed, monuments built, lands and peoples conquered? Dive into these questions and more with this introduction to the complex personalities of emperors such as Augustus, Caligula, Claudius, and Nero.

For all the money we subscribers pay each month to spend credits on big name titles, it feels like scholarly listens like this should be included as a bonus thanks for Audible's massive monthly income stream.

Hope for the Lost
Reviewed: 07-21-22
The title of this book does not quite do the material justice. At a glance I'd have guessed it to be 200 pgs of repeated cliches for those going through a breakup, but what I got was unfiltered, sincere life advice from someone who has battled with many of the hardships that we all face, and often cause us to lose hope. John certainly delivers on providing invaluable wisdom on relationships, but he also coaches us on other aspects of life that we hadn't realized were affecting our ability to form healthy relationships. You will benefit from this listen, I assure you.
