Story
For most of her life (and even during her years as the host of a popular radio show), Courtenay Hameister lived in a state of near-constant dread and anxiety. She fretted about everything. Her age. Her size. Her romantic prospects. How likely it was that she would get hit by a bus on the way home. Until a couple years ago, when, in her mid-forties, she decided to fight back against her debilitating anxieties by spending a year doing little things that scared her - things that the average person might consider doing for a half second before deciding: "nope."

I really enjoyed listening to this book. She had a lot of interesting experiences and was really funny. It is very rare that I laugh out loud by myself while listening to a book, but she had me burst out in laughter many times.

The book was great! The narration was awesome, I felt like I was listening to a friend. She is so real, not sugar coating anything. I wish I heard the panic attack chapter years ago, It makes so much sense! I’ve started implementing this in to my life, it has helped so much already! I would recommend this audio book to everyone!

Most of us have heard of gluten - a protein found in wheat that causes widespread inflammation in the body. Americans spend billions of dollars on gluten-free diets in an effort to protect their health. But what if we've been missing the root of the problem?

Painful narration, but wonderful content

What made the experience of listening to The Plant Paradox the most enjoyable?
Listening to The Plant Paradox was a great test of my patience. The book has such good information that I was able to get through it. I bought a hardcopy of the book as I would like to have it for reference but I don't want to listen to it again.
What didn’t you like about Christopher Solimene’s performance?
He sounds like a robot, and mispronounced words. He spoke so slow and robotic that when a humorous part of the book came up, he destroyed it. I had a hard time figuring out when a sentence ended. I don't know why anyone would choose him to narrate something so interesting, I bought the hardcopy of the book just because I'm sure I missed out on good information while nodding off while listening.
Any additional comments?
This book will really change your views on nutrition. It has extremely interesting information that I think everyone should know. I have been researching/reading about nutrition, supplements, and general health for over a decade, and this book has really changed a lot of how I think about what is healthy and why. It was just great!
