Good story….. but not edited
Reviewed: 10-25-22
I love the voice actor. However, somehow this one slipped through the cracks. Every few minutes there are mistakes made in the reading that are not edited out, including places where he rereads sentences or clears his throat and continues.

Great Story, but terrible narration & audio
Reviewed: 06-10-20
I really enjoyed the book and how the story all came together. However, the narration was tinny and very, VERY unpleasant to listen to.
The fault does not lie with the voice or the way it was read, but the microphone used or the way it was rendered was really terrible to listen to, especially the first few chapters (Chapter 6 was awful).

Great Performance and story. A great Utah Western
Reviewed: 12-03-18
Uncut and thrilling in its action and drama, this is one of the best Westerns I have ever read. Set in Utah, it features the controversy of fundamental Mormanism and the tragedy of injustice toward well-meaning women manipulated by religion.
Not much Latin culture here, with desperados or "half-breeds", but rather a frontier culture barren and dry and ruthless.

Story
When Redwall was published in 1987 it catapulted author Brian Jacques to international stardom. And small wonder! This enthralling tale is jam-packed with the things we long for in a great adventure: danger, laughter, hairbreadth escapes, tragedy, mystery, a touch of wonder, a truly despicable villain, and a hero we can take to heart.

This book has so much based on research. Although it is a fictional novel, it is filled with real civilizations, as they may have actually been. A fitting forth novel in this exceptional series.

Key Part In The Series

This book is key in the series as it marks the introduction of new characters who have special abilities. This story is decidedly different than the first two books, but connects them with surprising effectiveness. Good read, and makes you want more!

Story
Our world stands at the crossroads. An enemy is coming. An enemy so ancient that time itself becomes meaningless. Six most unlikely heroes are all that stand between life and the total desolation of our world, perhaps the universe. Six that will defend us, fight for us, regardless of the consequences to themselves. No one else can do it, no one else knows what is coming.
