Story
The Night Hawks, a group of metal detectorists, are searching for buried treasure when they find a body on the beach in North Norfolk. At first Nelson thinks that the dead man might be an asylum seeker but he turns out to be a local boy, Jem Taylor, recently released from prison. Ruth is more interested in the treasure, a hoard of Bronze Age weapons. Nelson at first thinks that Taylor's death is accidental drowning, but a second death suggests murder.

One of the best books in the Ruth Galloway series after a few middle of the road books from Elly Griffiths.

An exciting book with a plot they keeps you in its grip. Different enough from the movie and there are some twists that may surprise those who have only seen the film version of Jurassic park.

Great story

The plot of this book was more gripping than in the previous two Ruth Galloway books in my opinion. The book is perfect summer reading with the right amount of humor, suspense and likable characters.
The new narrator was a step down from Jane McDowell, however. Corbett does fine when reading the female characters' voices but her male characters sound like someone talking from the bottom of a well. It was difficult getting used to these new voices having listened to Jane McDowell's versions of the characters for four books.

Story
Sixteen-year-old Starr Carter moves between two worlds: the poor neighborhood where she lives and the fancy suburban prep school she attends. The uneasy balance between these worlds is shattered when Starr witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood best friend Khalil at the hands of a police officer. Khalil was unarmed. Soon afterward, his death is a national headline. Some are calling him a thug, maybe even a drug dealer and a gangbanger. Protesters are taking to the streets in Khalil’s name.

A very topical book that deals with difficult issues in America without giving easy answers to them. The narrator was a joy to listen to and brought all the many different characters to life. Definitely recommend this book.
