You get a new insight into a culture that few Westerners will ever gain on the Japanese.
What other book might you compare Shogun to and why?
'Sarek'...again, because you gain an insight that hither to, you (more likely than not) do not have.
What about David Case’s performance did you like?
He gives a quite believable portrayal of the characters.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
When Blackthorne, and Father Alveto come to a truce...and a possible understanding of each other.

When 'Count Monte Cristo' goes to a party of Fernand and Mecedes...mhm! And when Albert admits his fault to Monte Cristo for challenging him to a duel...excelent!

Dantes's realization that Idai really does love him.

Oh yes. The story...the different look at the dynamic of a father and a son...delightful!
What did you like best about this story?
You get to learn so much about Sarek, that you hither to have no real knowledge of other than he is a prominent Vulcan.
What about Nick Sullivan’s performance did you like?
He gives a depth to the characters that is very real.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Most defenitely!

In my opinion, no.

Robert Langdon. His thirst for truth and knowledge are just not seen much.

Not so far.

Unique perspective.

Yes...as with the rest of 'The Game of Thrones' saga, it doesn't like to let you go...at least, for me.
