Story
More than a year after she helped save the world from the Sparnaxian invasion, Andrea Vernon is in a good place. Her boss is giving her greater responsibility and she’s getting to travel a lot (although her fill-in is hopeless at making coffee); things could be getting even more serious with her 8’ 4” superhero boyfriend, The Big Axe; and she has a really fun new BFF, Never More. Small issue, though, with that last item - Never More is a supervillain bent on world domination, and it looks as if nothing can stop her.

Fun and silly superhero story . I’ve enjoyed both of the first two books and I’m looking forward to the third . The narrator does a wonderful job and has made me laugh out loud numerous times throughout the listen , thank you.

Good but too short!!

Good interview, just wished it were longer and she’s more light on the author’s inspirations

Story
Atticus O’Sullivan, last of the Druids, doesn’t care much for witches. Still, he’s about to make nice with the local coven by signing a mutually beneficial nonaggression treaty - when suddenly the witch population in modern-day Tempe, Arizona, quadruples overnight. And the new girls are not just bad, they’re badasses with a dark history on the German side of World War II.

Dresdan meets Christopher Moore
Reviewed: 01-22-12
I laughed out-loud and with some embarrassment. I was reluctant to like this series as I am a devout Jim Butcher- Harry Dresdan fan. Kevin Hearne with the help of Luke Daniels have caused me to unfaithfully dream of Atticus O'Sullivan -the Red Headed Druid as my magical savior, should I be set upon by the demons of hell, witches, or a nosey neighbor. The character is funny and cleverly written. Lots of myths and fairy lore explained through out much like Butcher's Dresdan, but with a unique celtic theme, that has caused me on more than one occasion to stop listening and consult the internet on my phone for more information. Like Moore his repeated pokes at modern day vernacular have been the cause of my irregular outbursts of laughter in public places. FUN series, I hope for more from this author past the third book.

Hard to listen to
Reviewed: 06-22-08
I found the narrators voice hard to listen to- simone jones was wonderful in the bartimeus trilogies, but his voices here sounded horrible. The men sounded like they all had colds , the women sounded like men and all of the children except the main character were high pitched and squacky. I have not been able to listen to this book with the same rapture because the narration is soo poor. Disappointing-I have beenting for this book to comeout for sometime.
