Story
Before the Great Wars and the Old Race of Man, there was a world populated by different beings: elves, demons, faeries, and the like. The Elves and the Demons constantly fought each other, until the Elves finally imprisoned them with the enchanted tree called the Ellcrys. Thousands of years later the Ellcrys still survives and still keeps the Demons imprisoned within the Spell of Forbidding, but not for much longer, the Ellcrys is dying.

One Fantastical Adventure
Reviewed: 10-30-19
This is not the first time I've read the wonderful words of Terry Brooks, nor will it be the last. This particular story remains my all-time favorite, and I have read it many times. It was refreshing to hear it told through a professional reader, while I simply get to sit like a kid, dreamy-eyed and completely absorbed in the one-of-a-kind voice of Brooks. For any looking to escape into a realm of believable imagination, of magic and misfortune, of death and life, of hope and resolve, look no further than these pages.

Story
Stephen Hawking not only unraveled some of the universe's greatest mysteries but also believed science plays a critical role in fixing problems here on Earth. Now, as we face immense challenges on our planet - including climate change, the threat of nuclear war, and the development of artificial intelligence - he turns his attention to the most urgent issues facing us. Will humanity survive? Should we colonize space? Does God exist? These are just a few of the questions Hawking addresses in this wide-ranging, passionately argued final book from one of the greatest minds in history.

There has been no greater mind in this 21st century. He, right alongside others of his scientific community and verocity namely Einstein, Darwin, and Newton, will remain a chief source of inspiration every ounce of my imagination, creativity, and curiosity. I am so very grateful his last words and thoughts could be shared with the world in this book... and I will continue to cherish every last one for the rest of my life.

One of the most influential thinkers of our time, Stephen Hawking is an intellectual icon, known not only for the adventurousness of his ideas but for the clarity and wit with which he expresses them. In this new book Hawking takes us to the cutting edge of theoretical physics, where truth is often stranger than fiction, to explain in laymen’s terms the principles that control our universe.

I believe everyone should hear the words of the great Stephen Hawking, one of the most beautiful souls and minds of our time. I've been dipping my toes back into my own theories of the universe, and this could have been no better starting point to reignite my passion for science.
Bravo!

Breathtaking
Reviewed: 06-15-19
I've been listening to this grand tale for quite some time now. The danger of a plot stretching into multiple books is in becoming repetitive, weak, and filled with holes. Brent Weeks manages to make his story only more spectacular. The character development is so spot on that you believe these characters are completely real, like you've lived right alongside them this whole time.
This being the fourth book read, I have to say I am in love with the narrator, and could not imagine this series read to me by anyone but him. The voices and pace he sets it's exactly how my mind imagines it all.
Ever thirsting for more,
Freyja Newleaf
