Today, I finally finished and audio book that I started months ago, after it was just published. I had a hard time getting into it, as I couldn’t figure out what the storyline was, so I didn’t felt “gripped”. In the end, it was a cute story that I enjoyed to hear. It’s German only, so the rest will be in German.

If you loved the Martian, you will love this book too.
I was so surprised to find a 2o something Arabian woman to be the hero of the book, and Andy Weir was even able to not fall into the prejudices puddle.

Jazz is smart, funny and the woman you want your daughter to be.

I also very much enjoyed the narration - a good actor makes for a good reader.

I kind of hope for a second volume, and maybe mark watney wants to vacation on Artemis?

Thanks for this awesome story!

NIka wakes up Sunday morning, with the worst hangover ever.
There is a weird message on the mirror, she has a wound on her head, and her roommate is gone. Hours later, she realizes, it's not Sunday, but Tuesday. She is missing 2 days of her life.
The worst day ever only gets worse by the minute, and Nika doesn't know who she can trust - her friends? the police? herself? What happened to her roommate Jenny? And all this in Italy, only speaking broken Italian....

The story is very well composed, and the solution comes as a surprise even for frequent readers of suspense fiction. The story develops a draw that is hard to resist.

I loved the way the reader performed, and enjoyed her voice very much.

Would you try another book from Eva Ibbotson and/or Kate Lock?

I read all books by Eva Ibbotson, but would never ever buy another book narrated by Kate Lock

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Who want to hear someone narrate a book with a fake German accent? is this supposed to be funny?
On top, the main figure sounds like she has the IQ of a potato chip.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Morning Gift?

non. Unabridged is mandatory.

Any additional comments?

I am very sorry I will never be able to listen to this wonderful book narrated.

Where does Wait for You rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I really liked the story as a book and I liked ot hear it too.
Though I doesn't like the way the speaker is lowering her voice when she speaks the part of the male figur - she sounds like a mafia boss.

What did you like best about this story?

This is a story without this typical hero a la 50 shades of grey and the million books copying it. Finally a male hero who can live well without spanking someone.
Plus: he is just a human beeing and not super-natural. What relief.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

If you find Mr. Right, hold on tight.
And trust in him to help you through your darkest hours.
