Story
Minalan gets medieval! When you defeat the invading goblin army, get knighted on the field of battle, gifted with lands and gold, usually your happily-ever-after is...happy. But now that Minalan the Spellmonger has been ennobled and enfiefed, Sire Minalan has a task cut out for him that makes defeating goblins seem like child’s play: Moving his very pregnant bride and a few thousand refugees from Boval Vale into the remote, sparsely peopled Domain of Sevendor. But when he arrives, he finds the land withered from neglect, filled with superstition and suspicion.

Story
Raithe, the God Killer, may have started the rebellion by killing a Fhrey, but longstanding enmities dividing the Rhune make it all but impossible to unite against the common foe. And even if the clans can join forces, how will they defeat an enemy whose magical prowess renders them indistinguishable from gods? The answer lies across the sea in a faraway land populated by a reclusive and dour race who feel nothing but disdain for both Fhrey and mankind.

Story
In Age of Myth, fantasy master Michael J. Sullivan launched audiences on an epic journey of magic and adventure, heroism and betrayal, love and loss. Now the thrilling saga continues as the human uprising is threatened by powerful enemies from without—and bitter rivalries from within. Raithe, the God Killer, may have started the rebellion by killing a Fhrey, but long-standing enmities dividing the Rhunes make it all but impossible to unite against the common foe. And even if the clans can join forces, how will they defeat an enemy whose magical prowess renders them indistinguishable from gods?

Three complete novels. Thirty-three hours of survival action. If you're a fan of Robert A. Heinlein, Jean Auel, and S. M. Stirling, you're going to love Jack L. Knapp. Thousands of copies have been downloaded. This is survivalism at its best...in an Earth that never knew humans!

This book was a hard listen
Reviewed: 07-20-17
I struggled with this series from the very start. The narration was stilted, and the author has a nasty tendancy to over explain almost everything that happens throughout the series. I valiantly continued to the end of the season and feel I should have earned a medal for my patience and forbearance alone

Story
The goblin invasion is on...and a wizard's work is never done! After facing a hopeless siege, an implacable foe, and an impossible escape, you would think that Minalan the Spellmonger would be able to rest - but the armies of the undead goblin shaman Shereul (known as the Dead God to his human victims) are rolling over the Western reaches of the rustic Duchy of Alshar and is headed toward the heart of the Duchy of Castal. Thousands are fleeing for their lives as hordes of goblins pour out of Boval Vale and devastate the rugged fiefs of the Alshari Wilderlands.

I was unable to finish

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?
Where do I start? The narrator was so consumed with proper annunciation, that I was often distracted from the story he was narrating. The story line seemed ok if a little simplistic in book 1, but seemed to really wander in book 2. By book 3, i had given up. the main plot was coherent if dull, but the side plots were confusing and often had very little subtext. It felt like i was listening to an abridged book. I ended up returning the book, as i just couldn't bring myself to finish.
What was most disappointing about Brian Rathbone’s story?
Seemed very disjointed at times
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Worked to hard on getting perfect annunciation
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
disappointment
