Millie Miller has always dreamed of living by the ocean. Now that her children have flown the coop, as an empty nester, she’s decided to sell her house to buy a condo only a mile from the beach in Oceanside, California. While walking her two dogs, Rosie and Daisy, Millie stumbles into a mystery after her pups find a body in the bushes. Frightened by the possibility that one of her new neighbors might be a murderer, Millie ignores the handsome police detective’s advice to mind her own business and decides to do some well-needed snooping.

Likable cozy mystery

I find Millie relatable and the narrator did a good job at creating characters.
Millie moved to the ocean to start over. She discovers a murder amongst the new neighbors and winds her way thru the clues and dogs to solve the mystery. I liked that the story moved along quickly, but thought there could be more story to the mystery, the focus seemed more on Millie and the dogs. But, overall it was a good story.
The characters are relatable and the narrator was a good fit for the story.
