A Bit Too Long

This story could have been shorter. I felt at times missing essential information to figure out the mystery. Too many half*ss cliffhangers throughout the story. Loved the narrator. 4 stars overall.

stuck with the book, but irritated throughout by narrator's monotonius performance. Story okay, but not over exciting.

Beautiful Writing
Reviewed: 01-25-21
The writing was very descriptive and quite colorful. But, I felt the story dragged-on until the last few chapters, then it was over. I am glad I picked this book but it will be a while before choosing another from Daphne du Maurier.

Wonderful narration

I could not wait to drive to and from work to listen to the story. The narrator was wonderful. The story ping ponged between two separate centuries and never got stale. Looking for more reads from the author and narrator.
