I rarely have enjoyed an audible selection like ultra processed people
Learned so much and will incorporate into my family lifestyle with eating habits.. I home cook all the time most every meal but will now take to a new level… I knew that if I ate “fast food” I experienced gastric problems / this book helped me understand why… perhaps if we consider the tenants expressed here we can have healthier kids and contribute to environmental health.. thank u for this book
Have shared over and over

heard npr book review on this book
She said “ listened to it and read multiple times”
I agree… though provoking and significant in understanding of the real life perceptions and experiences of being a person of color in our country and the urgency to put ourselves outside the “me” and look at the “we” of our culture war narrative
Bought the book after audible and will encourage everyone to explore

Story poignant and salient for current political climate
Encourages historic interest in the roles of German/ soviet during wwII and beyond
The characters were developed and multifaceted
Warning: it’s a tear jerker!

Too much in the writers head and musings- could walk away and come back still listening to dialog about a certain premise 5-10 minutes later/ story ties knots to quickly at conclusion for the rambling prose..Plot line implausible in a myriad of ways for a thrill/suspense novel

Loved!!! The story is poignant and beautifully depicts a subject many may not know or not know from a personal perspective and the way the aids epidemic shaped a generation ... the characters are developed sensitively and unflinchingly: love, guilt, shame, hope . Kudos to the author in weaving the story to capture the humanness in all its flaws/demonstrating eloquently frailty and the longing to make sense of senselessness... narration makes this a top pick for sure !
